More info

Pigment is applied to the epidermis (the outermost layer of your skin) but at a slightly deeper level than with microblading. This depth creates a more durable, soft, and powdered effect. The pigment is implanted about 1-2 millimeters into the skin,  which is less deep than traditional tattoos, allowing for a more natural, gentle finish that typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on your skin type, pre-care and aftercare.

Because the pigment is applied deeper than with the microblading technique, the Ombré powder technique heals more evenly and tends to fade less quickly. This makes them the ideal choice for clients with oily skin or clients looking for a fuller, bolder brow that is low-maintenance and smudge-proof. Plus, the benefits go beyond just looking great — you can enjoy a vacation without worrying about reapplying your brows, swim without worry of washing them away, dance all night, or go out with the girls and leave your brow pencil and powders at home! Perfect for anyone who wants to look effortless, no matter what the day throws at you!

Ombre Powder Brows vs. Microblading: Key Differences Uncovered

Ombre Powder technique:

  • Soft, gradient look, darker at the tail and lighter towards the front, mimicking the effect of makeup-filled brows.

  • Using a wireless tattoo pen, pigment is deposited into the skin, creating a powdered or "ombré" effect.

  • Often considered a longer-lasting option because the pigment is applied deeper into the skin.

Microblading:

  • Using a microblading pen with several fine needles to create individual hair-like strokes that mimic natural brow hairs. The strokes are more defined and typically lighter in color, giving a natural, textured look.

  • Suitable for clients who want a natural, hair-stroke effect and is often less long-lasting compared to ombré powder brows.
